A useful learning routine does not need to be long. Choose a few age-appropriate words and spend a short session saying, spelling and using them in context. Begin by reading each word aloud and discussing its meaning. Ask your learner to write a sentence that uses the word naturally. Then invite them to read the sentence back and check whether it expresses the idea they intended. Add variety through a friendly spelling round, a picture prompt or a short paragraph about an everyday experience. Revisit difficult words another day rather than making one session overwhelming. For competition preparation, use the official study resources available for the relevant edition and category. Balance practice with rest, encouragement and other interests. Progress matters more than getting every answer right on the first attempt.
